Azure Acres is located in southern Alberta, Canada. Just minutes from Lethbridge, and only a 1.5 hour drive from Calgary, it is rural living with all the amenities of the big city. Surrounded by acres of beautiful prairie landscape and a view as far as the eye can see, Azure Acres is home for Tara and Darren Van Zeggelaar.

Tara and Darren officially began Azure Acres in 1999 with the purchase of their first llama. Since then, they have expanded to a herd of approximately 60 animals. The llamas reside on 40 acres of lush green pastures with an assortment of other animals including their dogs, quarter horses, cattle and their newest additions… miniature horses.

Azure Acres specializes in breeding quality llamas with silky or suri fibre. They strive to breed for animals with sound conformation, proven bloodlines, gentle natures, fine fleece type, and overall eye appeal… in that order. Tara and Darren are confident in the llamas they produce, and are sure you will be too.
